Are you looking for ways to keep active without putting too much strain on yourself? The perfect sessions are set to begin at West Glebe Park with nothing but some healthy walking involved!
From Wednesday 13th June from 1.30 – 2.30pm, come along to West Glebe Pavilion where you can meet up with others for a walk through the park on a weekly basis. The maximum distance of this walk will be just 1.5 miles and shorter walks will be available if necessary, so this is perfect for those of all abilities who want to get out and keep active.
Join your fellow walkers afterwards for tea, coffee and biscuits in the pavilion for just £1 per person.
Steady Steps will also be offered to the elderly from 13th June at West Glebe Park. Do you feel unsteady on your feet? Have you previously fallen or are you worried about falling? Would you like to improve your balance?
If your answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, then Steady Steps is just the session for you. A specialist fall prevention programme will be offered to help develop balance, strength and co-ordination and will also aid to improve the body’s range of movement and function in day to day activities.
These sessions will take place every Wednesday from 1.30-2.15pm for just £3.50. And of course, tea, coffee and biscuits will be offered after each session, so you can stick around for a chat!
