Corby Borough Council is excited to reintroduce T’ai Chi classes to residents and the first session will take place this Thursday (8th March).
Are you looking to balance the body and mind with gentle, rhythmic, flowing moves? Then look no further as T’ai Chi could be just the thing for you.
This low impact type of exercise helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the core and has an all round positive impact on the body without working you or your body too hard.
Sessions will take place every Thursday, starting on 8th March at West Glebe Pavillon, Corby, Cottingham Road, from 10.30 - 11.30am. This is a drop in session, so just bring yourself along, no matter what your age and wear loose, comfortable layers.
Corby Borough Council’s Lead Member for Community, Cllr John McGhee, said:
“Corby Borough Council is committed to giving residents the opportunity to keep healthy and active, both physically and mentally. T’ai Chi is a great activity for the body in all aspects, so if you think you could benefit for these classes, why not come along and give it a go?”
