The SHAPE Dance Reunion is happening and Corby Borough Council is calling all SHAPE dancers, past and present to get on their dancing shoes and take part in the biggest performance to date!

Have you ever been part of Corby Borough Council’s dance programme? No matter what your age, you are invited along to take part in a mass dance that will mark 50 years since SHAPE Dance, formerly known as Playleadership, started. The performance will be filmed and shown at the 2019 annual Christmas show.

If you want to get involved, there will be a sign up night held on Thursday 6th June at 8pm in the Sir Matt Busby Lounge, Lodge Park Sports Centre, Corby, where you will find more information on the event. Rehearsals will take place on Sundays throughout June and September at 10am in the Dance Studio at Corby East Midlands International Pool.

Corby Borough Council’s Lead Member for Community, Cllr John McGhee, said:

“Thousands of youngsters have enjoyed Corby Borough Council’s dance programme over the years so this is a fantastic idea and a lovely way to bring people back together. We are very excited to reunite with dancers and take them back to their dancing days! Anyone that has taken part in our dance programme we would love for them to come along to the sign up night and join us in a celebration of 50 years of SHAPE Dance!”
