Corby Borough Council is inviting residents to comment on plans for the Part 2 Local Plan for Corby.
The Part 2 Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State in December 2019 and has since been subject to public examination by an independent planning Inspector, which is still ongoing.
Following the examination hearings, which were conducted online between 29th September and 1st October 2020, the Inspector identified various changes that she considers may need to be made to the plan (known as “Proposed Main Modifications) in order to make the Part 2 Local Plan for Corby a “sound” plan.
Corby Borough Council is now inviting comments on the Proposed Main Modifications to the Part 2 Local Plan for Corby, and changes to the Policies Map from tomorrow (Tuesday 9th February 2021) until Tuesday 23rd March 2021. All comments received will be sent to the inspector for consideration in the preparation of her final report on the examination of the plan.
All the consultation documents, together with further information on the Part 2 Local Plan is available to view on the Council’s examination webpages at

The new North Northamptonshire Council will then be in a position to adopt the Part 2 Local Plan for Corby later in the year.
