There are only 3 more weeks until the world’s top female cyclists pedal straight through Corby as part of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour - so it’s time to check out the route and plan your very own cheering spot!

On Wednesday 7th June, as part of the Northamptonshire stage of the Tour, the world’s top cycling teams will come through Corby via Middleton, Cottingham and Rockingham before going down Willowbrook Road, through George Street, left on to Oakley Road, out to Weldon and onto Oundle.

This is an amazing chance for people in Corby to see the cyclists up close and cheer them on as they battle it out on our roads. Corby Borough Council is urging residents, businesses, schools and visitors to line the route and spur them on as they pass by. To view the route through Corby and for further information about the Tour please go to www.corby.gov.uk/leisure-culture/sport-leisure-activities/sport-play-development/sport-play-events/womens-cycle-tour.

Don’t forget to also join the Cycle Fest 2017 which will take place in and around Corby Cube on the evening of Friday 30th June and from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 1st July.

There will be a host of free activities to try or watch including cheerleading & dance displays, BMX Street Show, have a go crazy bikes, pedal powered smoothies, Dr Bike and rickshaw rides, stalls and much more... and that’s just outside!

Inside the Corby Cube there will be crafts in the library and fun filled entertainment in the theatre such as the pedal powered cinema and other cycling based theatre productions which are soon to be announced.
