Like Direct Debit payments, Standing Orders are a way of paying your Council Tax or Business Rates by instalments, which save you the time and expense of making monthly payments yourself.
The difference between the two is that with Direct Debit, the Council instruct your bank to set up the payments to us, whereas with Standing Orders you need to tell the bank what needs to be paid and when.
