Last month to get your nominations in for the Spirit of Corby Awards 2017

Release Date:
Friday, August 4, 2017 - 17:45

It’s the last month to get your nominations in for the Spirit of Corby Awards 2017 and help us celebrate all of those in our great community that go above and beyond, contribute to life in the Borough or may have achieved something worth celebrating. No matter how big or small the reason, we want to know who you think has the real Spirit of Corby.

Corby Borough Council in partnership with sponsors, Northamptonshire Police, Quantum Print, Savoy Cinema, Spirit Hyundai and The Core at Corby Cube, is proudly hosting this year’s awards. But before we start celebrating we want to hear from the public and get as many nominations in as possible before the closing date of Friday 25th August.

The Spirit of Corby Awards are the Borough’s annual celebration of everything that is good about Corby, its community and the amazing spirit of the people that make it so special. Each year the awards highlight the great contribution our residents make to our town, the special talents they have, but above all else the awards are our way to thank those unsung heroes in our community that go above and beyond.

If you think someone has made a difference in your community or done something they should be proud of then get your nominations in before it’s too late!

The Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said:

‘The deadline for nominations is nearly upon us so I would urge residents to have one last think about who they feel deserves to be nominated. It could be a family member, neighbour, someone from a club or society or even a local business person; if they bring something special to Corby or just show that real Corby spirit that we should all be proud of then please let us know’.

You can submit your nominations by filling out a form on www.corby.gov.uk/spiritofcorby, or by picking up a form from the Help Desk on the ground floor of the Corby Cube.

Please note that last year’s winners are not eligible to be nominated for the same award again and the deadline to submit your nominations is 5pm on Friday 22nd August.
