Corby and Kettering Borough Council’s Shared Street Scene Team will be out in force next week as they host a Clean and Green event to spruce up the Kingswood area.

Balmoral Square, Barnard Square and Culross Walk in Corby will have a much needed pre-winter clean starting on Monday 18th November which will make the whole area more appealing to residents.

The teams will be busy monitoring and removing fly tipping, removing unused and abandoned wheelie bins, cleaning up dog fouling and litter, removing graffiti, sweeping and hot washing alley ways and streets, planting and removal of green waste among much more in a bid to clean up the area.

Pupils at Kingswood Primary School will also be getting involved with our environmental works by taking part in ‘Operation Spring Bloom’ where Crocus, Daffodils, Bluebells and Tete a Tete Daffodil bulbs will be planted.

The whole clean up will take place between Monday 18th – Friday 22nd November and residents can monitor the progress via Twitter, @CorbyBC.
