Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) 2017 - The Planning Obligations SPD was adopted at Local Plan Committee on 26th April 2017 and now forms part of the suite of policy documents used in deciding planning applications. The aim of this SPD is to provide clarity and guidance for developers, build on the policies in the Joint Core Strategy and direct developers to the documents and requirements provided by Northamptonshire County Council and other infrastructure providers. It seeks to ensure the timely delivery of infrastructure, services and facilities to meet the needs of the Borough and support sustainable development.
Cottingham and Middleton Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan SPD - This document was formally adopted on 27th April 2016. The SPD supplements policies in the Core Strategies that protect, preserve and, where appropriate enhance our historic environment. The adopted document is accompanied by an adoption statement and a statement of consultation.
Biodiversity SPD - January 2016 - This SPD explains how bidoversity shall be integrated into the development process to ensure that legislation and policy requirements are met and best practice standards are achieved. The document has been produced by Northamptonshire County Council and adopted by Corby Borough Council.
Creating Sustainable Communities: Planning Obligations Framework and Guidance-January 2015 - This document provides clear guidance on the county council's approach to planning obligations and ensures that new developments play a fair role in delivering the infrastructure and services required to facilitate and support new communities.
Sustainable Design SPD - February 2009 - This Sustainable Design Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) is intended to provide guidance on policies within the North Northamptonshire Core Spatial Strategy that relate to design and sustainability. The checklist included in Appendix V of the SPD draws together the guidance set out and provides a framework for applicants for planning permission in producing Sustainable Design and Energy Statements.
Building on Tradition - The Rockingham Forest Countryside Design Summary (July 2000)
This Countryside Design Summary has been prepared by the Rockingham Forest Trust working together with Northamptonshire County Council, Kettering Borough Council, East Northamptonshire Council and Corby Borough Council. The purpose of the Design Summary is to identify ways in which new development can be designed to harmonise with and enhance local character.
