My Learning, Stories from the steelworks, this project was funded by Renaissance East Midlands and MLA. Corby Borough Council worked in partnership with teachers and students from Woodnewton A Learning Community in Corby to produce a series of images, audio recordings and teachers notes that schools or the community could use to tell the story of Corby Steel making history - click here for more information.
"Our Corby" was an inspiring project that received funding from Heritage Lottery Fund, MLA and ACE to produce creative heritage work in fields as diverse as poetry, song, storytelling, all taken from an amazing resource of images held in two little known local archives. The first archieve was that of local historian Malcolm Seaborne which holds some 800 images and is kept at Northants Records Office and the second is that of Kate Dyer's private collection made up from over thirty years of Corby Community Arts projects in and around Corby.
The following link is to the "Our Corby" web site itself part of the work created by the project, click here to view this fascinating local site of interest.
