Access and Facilities

Corby East Midlands International Pool has been designed to be fully accessible for all users and patrons.

Disabled / Additional Needs Swimming Session

  • Monday- Friday 12 - 1pm (20m Learner Pool) (Shared will adult swimming)
  • Wednesday 7pm - 9pm (20m Learner Pool) (Public session)

(1 carer free with each disabled person).

Accessible Parking

Parking not available beside the Pool at the moment due to the development of The Savoy Cinema.

Payment is required for the accessible bays in the public car park accessed from Westcott way.

Entrance and Facilities

All customers are issued with a wristband for entry and use of the locker facilities.

The entrance turnstiles have operational gates to allow access for wheelchair users and customers who may experience difficulty using the turnstiles.

There are 6 family size changing rooms which are also suitable for accessible and family change wheelchair users.

2 designated changing and shower rooms are fitted with adjustable height changing tables and ceiling tracked hoists accessed by a RADAR key. Please note customers will be required to use their own sling.

There are two accessible WC facilities, one located by the ground floor Café and one on the first floor by the meeting room.

There are male and female accessible facilities on the first floor for customers using the gym or studio.

The first floor can be accessed by a lift which is located to the left of Reception.  The lift announces door opening and floor numbers.

Automatic doors lead to spectator seating balcony.  There are six designated accessible areas on the spectator balcony.

Entering the Pool

The Pool can be entered by:

  • double hand railed accessible steps (diving end).
  • pool hoist  25m, 20m pool & diving end
  • walk in steps 20m pool

All pools can also be accessed by steps which are recessed vertically.

Please note the pool hoist has a maximum weight capacity of 24 stone.



The gym has a range of equipment which is IFI (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) accredited.

Communication, Information and Signage

Hearing loops are available at all reception desks, in the spectator gallery and meeting room. To use hearing loops hearing aids should be set to ‘T’.

Tactile signage is provided around the facility to assist blind and partially sighted customers

Timetables are available in large print, please ask at reception.
