Private Rented Sector

The Housing Options Team may be able to assist you in finding suitable accommodation in the private rented sector.  From time to time there may be private rented homes advertised through our housing allocation scheme Keyways or we may know of landlords that have empty homes and are looking for a tenant.

You may wish to contact a local lettings agent which you will find on the leaflet below.

A large amount of rented properties all over the country are also advertised on the internet and can be found at

If you are on a low income or single and under the age of 35, you may have to consider a house or flat share which can work out cheaper than living on your own.  There are numerous national websites which you can search for rooms by typing 'flat share' into your search engine.

The Council makes no representation or warranty regarding the standard and fitness of the accommodation offered at these addresses except for those that are accepted through our Deposit Bond Scheme or advertised through Keyways. If however, you do have any problems, please let us know.
