The above election is to be held on Thursday 23rd May 2019.

The deadline for registering to vote in this election is 23:59 on Tuesday 7 May 2019. You can register to vote online at www.gov.uk/registertovote.

IMPORTANT Citizens of the European Union (EU) countries listed below, can register to vote in the UK at a European Parliamentary election up until Tuesday 7th May 2019 but you MUST complete an additional form available online: https://www.yourvotematters.co.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/255197/EU-citizen-European-Parliament-voter-registration-form-English.pdf.

If you fill in this form, you are agreeing to vote in the UK only and not in your home country. You cannot vote at the European Parliamentary elections in more than one country. You can cancel this registration up until Tuesday 7th May 2019.

If you are a citizen of the UK, Republic of Ireland, Malta or Cyprus, you are eligible to register to vote at all UK elections and so do not need to complete an additional registration form.  If you are not already registered to vote you must register at gov.uk/register-to-vote

The deadline to apply for a postal vote or amend an existing postal vote arrangement closes at 5pm on Wednesday 8 May 2017.

The dates as to when Postal Votes will be sent to Electors is around Saturday 11th May 2019. If this may be too late for you or you think you are going to be away in May you will need to think about arranging a Proxy Vote.
