Economic Development

Corby Borough Council’s role in economic development involves:

  • Securing economic development related projects for the benefit of the town (inward investment, business expansion, infrastructure improvement, etc.)
  • Working with partners on a range of issues (unemployment, skills, broadband, road and rail improvements, business property, etc.)

The Council owns several available commercial/industrial development sites and manages a range of shopping units, mainly outwith the town centre. It also owns Corby Enterprise Centre and Corby Innovation Hub which provide modern business premises.

Corby lies within the area of a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) (South East Midlands). LEPs are the principal economic development agencies operating in England.
