Covid-19 Small Business Grant

The Government has published guidance on the Covid-19 Support for Businesses   In support of this, the Council will apply the following measures: 
 

  • Up to £150 Council Tax Hardship Relief will be applied to each working age benefit claimant. There is no need to apply for this as the process is automatic and those identified will have their accounts amended and reissued by the middle of April
  • A twelve month business rates holiday for all retail, hospitality, leisure and nursery businesses in England. There is no need to apply for this as the process is automatic and we will reissue bills to the relevant businesses on the 6th April.
  • Small Business Grant Funding of £10,000 for all businesses in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief. Letters will be issued to all  relevant businesses that are affected by the 6th April. In order to receive the grant, you will need to complete a short form. A copy of this is on the link below.
  • Grant funding for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses of £10,000 where the rateable value is less than £15,000, with the grant increasing to £25,000 where the rateable value is between £15,000 and £50,999. Letters will be issued to all  relevant businesses that are affected by the 6th April. In order to receive the grant, you will need to complete a short form. A copy of this is on the link below.
