Corby Heritage Centre serves all parts of the Borough and its community through exhibitions and displays that reflect the rich and diverse cultures of the community and their heritage.  Visitors to the Heritage Centre have the opportunity to learn about the historic nature of the building itself and also the story of Corby Old Village with education, work and entertainment themes being explored in the temporary exhibition area of the centre.  The temporary exhibitions will change to cover local history for the community and school groups throughout each year.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK. On Tuesday the 5th November, we will be at Corby VCS giving a presentation about our funding. There will be 2 sessions: 11am-12noon and 1pm-2pm. You are invited to meet the team, ask questions and get to know us more.

We believe that understanding, valuing and sharing our heritage brings people together, inspires pride in communities and boosts investment in local economies.

As part of our work, we distribute National Lottery grants from £3,000 to £5million and over, funding projects that sustain and transform the UK's heritage.

Over the next five years, we will be working in the Corby area to encourage more groups and organisations to apply for funding from us. We have identified that the Corby area has not attracted as much funding from us than other areas.

So from November, members of the National Lottery Heritage Fund team will be in the area, usually on the first Tuesday of the month, to talk to people about what we do and how they could apply to us for heritage related projects.

In the New Year, we also hope to start hosting surgeries, where you can meet with us and get advice on your project ideas.

If you would like to attend one of the presentations on Tuesday 5th November, please contact us at stating which time you would like to attend.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
