The cost and complexity of electricity, gas and water supplies can often be a drag on businesses working hard to be competitive.
Electric Corby is a community interest company established to work with the Corby community to introduce new sustainable ways of living and working and since 2011, Electric Corby has introduced new projects to support the growth of Corby.
Our latest initiative is a collaboration with local business Utility Bidder to tackle energy costs and the Bring a Bill Utility Health Check Workshop is part of a series of Competitive Corby workshops focused on helping Corby-based businesses to be more profitable, energy efficient and competitive both nationally and internationally.
On 19th April, all Corby businesses are invited to breakfast from 8.00am to 10.00am at Corby Innovation Hub.
There will be energy consultants on hand to review charges, usage and advise on legislation changes, along with water experts that can help with any questions surrounding the recent deregulation of water supplies. Energy advice will be in abundance and there is no query too small to be tackled by the Utility Bidder team. All you need to do is bring your latest energy and water statements with you for analysis.
In addition to this, attendees will also have the chance to win an energy management system for their business premises. The Cloogy START system provides real-time energy analysis and allows appliances to be controlled remotely. Understanding which appliances are using the most energy and at what times can provide a valuable way forward when tackling energy consumption.
Nick Bolton, from Electric Corby said “The competitiveness of our businesses has never been more important for the strength of our economy. Electricity, gas and water bills are a significant overhead for many Corby businesses, but we find they often lack the support and impartial advice needed to make informed decisions about the best supply deals. We’re pleased to provide a simple route to lower supply overheads, enabling Corby businesses to invest more in measures that boost productivity and drive their national and international competitiveness”
If businesses are not able to attend this event, they can always contact Electric Corby for support and advice or attend future briefings publicised through www.electriccorby.co.uk/events
