Tomorrow (6th June) will mark the start of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy.

To mark this poignant event, the Mayor of Corby, Cllr Ray Beeby, along with the Royal British Legion, invite members of the public to join them this Sunday (9th June) in laying wreaths at the Corby War Memorial in the Corby Old Village at 10.45am. This will be followed by a service at St. John’s Church at 11am.

Mayor of Corby, Cllr Ray Beeby, said:

“It is an honour to be able to lay a wreath in memory of the brave soldiers who fought for our country during the war. This is a time that should never be forgotten so I am pleased we will be marking the 75th Anniversary this Sunday and I hope to see lots of people join us.”
