Corby Steelworks: The loss of an industry

Location:
Corby Heritage Centre, 75-77 High Street, Corby, NN17 1UU
Description:

When British Steel management announced in February of 1979 that steel making would cease to exist in Corby, the town and its people lost an industry that had supported it for almost 100 years. This exhibition takes a look at the history of Corby Steelworks and exhibits some of the artefacts from Corby Borough Council's collection that are connected with the steel industry.
