Corby Borough Council is asking residents to have their say on the government’s new ‘Town Fund’ initiative which Corby has been selected to take part in.

Town Fund is an initiative by the Government which gives selected towns the opportunity to bid for up to £25 million for local projects to improve the town and a Town Board is set up to oversee the project.

The Town Board consists of different groups and companies in Corby ranging from local businesses and associations to Corby's MP and the Police. Corby Borough Council invited a broad range of people and local businesses to bring a wide range of ideas and suggestions on how this potential fund may be put to good use.

Corby Borough Council is now encouraging residents to submit their ideas on how to improve skills and transport, create jobs and regenerate our local community. Ideas can be submitted via the central website, www.mytown.communities.gov.uk.

You can also e-mail the council’s My Town e-mail address for any queries you may have regarding the scheme, mytown@corby.gov.uk.

Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said:

“This is a great opportunity, especially as Corby is one of only 100 towns selected for the scheme. We are keen for our resident’s voices to be heard, so I hope lots of people will submit some ideas and please don’t hesitate to contact Corby Borough Council with any queries you may have.”
