Corby Borough Council update as Northamptonshire moves into Tier 4

Release Date:
Wednesday, December 30, 2020 - 17:00

In light of the Government’s recent announcement that Northamptonshire will be moving into Tier 4 as of Thursday 31st December, Corby Borough Council would like to assure residents that services will continue to run, with the exception of leisure facilities which will unfortunately close at midnight tonight (Wednesday 30th December).

Leisure Facilities

Following guidance from the Government and Northamptonshire the majority of Corby Borough Council’s leisure facilities including Corby East Midlands International Pool and Lodge Park Sports Centre will close from midnight tonight.  Emails and messages are currently being circulated to leisure members and further information will be available on social media in due course.  The teams are currently working on providing virtual classes where possible for leisure members, details and links will be shared within the next few days.

As this has come at such short notice the collection for leisure members payment has already been sent through to the bank and we are unable to stop collection, we will however freeze memberships and not collect again until a month after we reopen.

Priors Hall Golf Course can remain open but there will be new guidelines to follow as during the first lock down earlier this year which will mean that only 2 balls will be able to be played, tee times will also be increased.  We are currently working through existing bookings to rearrange where possible, please bear with us during this time.  Please give the course a call before you play to confirm your booking prior to travelling to the course 01536 260756

Our Parks and Play areas will remain open throughout the borough, East Carlton Park Café will remain as takeaway only.
