Corby Borough Council and partners will work together to keep families safe during Family Safety Week from Monday 1st April.
The Council’s Neighbourhood Management Team, along with Kingswood Children’s Centre, The Fire Service, Neighbourhood Policing Teams and local charity, Teamwork have organised a family safety day in support of the national campaign Family Safety Week, led by the accident prevention charity RoSPA.
The campaign will run from 1st -5th April and Corby’s event will take place on Monday 1st April from 12noon – 4pm at Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre. The teams involved will be running a range of activities focused on both family and personal safety. Activities will include self defence taster sessions, first aid sessions providing tips on how to deal with injuries such as minor burns and scalds and advice on fire and water safety. There will also be a fun quiz, free safety goodies, a health walk and fitness sessions for all ages and abilities. Children will also be treated to an exciting visit from police and fire service vehicles!
