Christmas spirit arrives in Corby a little earlier this year

Release Date:
Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 17:00

Although Spring has only just sprung, Corby Visitor Forum is asking residents to get in the festive mood a little earlier than usual this year. They are not asking people to put up trees or to go sledging, but to take part in a charity Christmas card competition which is in aid of local charity, Lakelands Hospice. This competition will start in April and Love Corby are looking for residents to upload their Christmas pictures (or drawings) to the Photography Competition section of their Facebook page

The chairman of Corby Visitor Forum Andrew Norman said, “We have been wanting to work with Lakelands Hospice for some time as it is a fantastic local charity and helps so many in our community. This competition is the perfect way to just that as it gives us the chance to promote Corby, whilst raising much needed funding for Lakelands.”

Participants will have until 31st August 2017 to get their designs entered and two winners will be selected, one in the 12 years old and under category and another for those aged 13 years old and over. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges made up of members of Love Corby and the Lakelands Hospice. The winning designs will be printed and ready for sale in November 2017 and can be purchased from a number of outlets in Corby, including Lakelands Hospice.
