Welcome to our planning policy pages, here you will find information relating to the Local Plan , Local Development Framework, supplementary planning documents and other planning policy documents as well as information relating to national, regional and spatial planning policy.
The main role of the Planning Policy team is to produce the statutory planning policy framework documents that guide the future land use planning within the Corby Borough boundary. This is an ongoing process with new documents being drafted, consulted upon, updated and published on a regular basis.
Planning Policy are responsible for implementing planning policies which help to ensure that the relevant social and physical infrastructure is provided whilst protecting and enhancing Corby's natural environment and ensuring any development is sustainable.

The ‘Local Development Framework (LDF)’ is the term used to describe the new system that is replacing the old Local Plan system of development plans affecting the local area. Details of Corby's Local Development Framework can be found by following the Local Development Framework link;
