Planning Aid

Planning Aid is a Charity that provides free, independent and professional advice on town and country planning issues to community groups and individuals who cannot afford to pay a planning consultant.

Advice is given on most planning issues; from making a personal planning application, to opposing an application proposed for your neighbourhood.

Planning Aid also offers the opportunity for community groups to get involved in an exciting range of community planning programmes that include training and educational activities. These programmes are aimed at helping groups and individuals, particularly in disadvantaged areas, to understand the planning system and influence what happens in their neighbourhood.

A telephone helpline, staffed by a qualified Planner, is available from 0830 to 1630, Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Telephone 0870 850 9802. An answer phone is available outside these hours.
