Home Repair Grants & Minor Works Grants

These discretionary grants are available to help with the cost of major repairs needed, such as repairing the roof, guttering and brickwork, rewiring, repairs to and provision of a bath, wash hand basin or wc and energy efficiency works.  Applicants must own their properties and have lived in there for at least 3 years.  All inspections are carried out under the Decent Homes Standard.

Minor Works Grants are for a maximum of £3,500 and are designed to help home-owners with repairs, security, insulation and fire safety.

Home Repair Grants are for a maximum of £10,000 and are designed to provide works with respect to failings of the Decent Homes Standard. All applicants are means tested.
