Health Trainers

Health trainers are based in the community and can help you to review your lifestyle to find out if any changes would be useful. They help make sure you know how to improve your health, and they can put you in touch with other help available locally. They can help you create a personal health action plan, and help keep you motivated.

Health trainers are at a range of sites across the county including:

  • Community centres
  • Leisure centres
  • Libraries
  • Children centres
  • Health centres

Once you contact the Health Trainer service, they will be in touch to sort out a good time for your first appointment. It will last about half an hour and they can do a health 'stock take' to see how healthy your lifestyle is and if you would benefit from any changes. Then they can agree on follow up meetings to support you in the weeks and months ahead.
