North Northants Core Spatial Strategy

North Northants Core Spatial Strategy

The North Northamptonshire Core Spatial Strategy was adopted in June 2008. This Plan sets out the overall spatial strategy for North Northamptonshire for the period 2001-2021, including where development should be located, and the standards it should aim to achieve. The Core Strategy is the framework for the Site Specific Plans being prepared by the individual Borough/District Councils.

Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

A joint ‘Statement of Community Involvement’ (SCI) was adopted in October 2006. This sets out key principles for engaging communities and stakeholders in the planning process.  The adopted SCI makes reference to stages that will no longer form part of the LDF process but the principles within it are still relevant and will guide the approach to community involvement in the preparation of the LDF and in the consideration of planning applications.
