Access to Housing
The Council seeks to ensure that a sufficient supply of secure affordable housing of good standard is available for people who want or need them within the borough.
The Council has developed strong partnership arrangements with Registered Social Landlords such as Housing Associations.
The Council manages over 4800 homes within the Borough. Access to these and housing association homes can be gained by contacting the Council's Housing Options Team. Click here for information about the Housing Register
Information on Shared Ownership Homes (part rent and part buy for those who cannot afford to buy outright) is available through the team or log onto www.emhgroup.co.uk for more details
A number of properties are also available for rent in the private sector. Most local estate agents now have properties to let and operate property management services.
Home buyers will find a wide range of property in the town of Corby and the villages surrounding it. Details can be obtained from local estate agents or from the local newspapers.

Housing Options – Your views
Housing Options would be grateful if you can spare a few moments to give us your views on our service. Please complete our short online survey about the service you have received from our team.
Any comments will be reviewed on a regular basis in order to keep improving our service to our customers. Any suggestions regarding service improvements could be implemented as part of our commitment to consultation and engaging with our customers.
If you would like to see our recent results from a telephone survey (Sept 09) please click here.
As part of our ongoing review of services, we have introduced the Bespoke Letter. This letter will be given to all customers who see a Housing Options Advisor in the One Stop Shop.
It will enable you to have a record of who you have seen, their contact details and what action was agreed at the meeting. Any action will be detailed to show what you need to do to resolve your housing difficulties and also what action the Housing Options Advisor can take on your behalf to help you. This may include making referrals to other agencies for support.
Your bespoke letter should be kept safe as a record of your meeting and who you should contact should you have any further queries.
