Play area in Corby

It’s going to be fun and games next week as residents in and around the Beanfield and Pen Green areas help Corby Borough Council choose a design for brand new play facilities.

Three new ‘natural’ play areas are being installed in Ollerton Walk, Glastonbury Road and Pen Green Open Space and are expected to be up and running by early April 2009. Corby Borough Council is therefore urging residents to have their say at a consultation and help choose designs for the play areas that are stimulating, exciting and encourage imaginative play.

The consultation for the Pen Green Open Space play area takes place from 10am – 12 noon on Tuesday 23rd December at Stephenson Way Community Centre, Stephenson Way, Corby.

The consultation for Ollerton Walk and Glastonbury Road play areas takes place from 2pm – 4pm on Tuesday 23rd December at Beanfield Community Centre, Beanfield Avenue, Corby.

Each site has their own choice of designs and to make sure that we choose the best one in each area we want residents to drop by with their youngsters and vote on their favourite. The designs that receive the most votes will be the ones installed, so make sure you are part of the big decision and get voting.
