The Legal team in Corby Borough Council exists to provide legal advice to Council staff and Councillors in their public duty.

The team also provides services to the public relating to:

Please note that if you wish to meet with a member of the Legal Services team, you must contact them in 

advance to make an appointment. You will not be guaranteed to see a member of staff if you arrive in the 

One Stop Shop without making an appointment. 

What the Legal team can not provide

The Council does not offer legal advice to individual members of the public on private matters.  

Individuals who are seeking legal advice may wish to seek advice from an independent solicitor,  Community Legal Advice or the Citizen's Advice Bureau . For advice on Legal Aid you may wish to contact the Legal Services Commission.

If you are seeking advice in regard to managing debt, you may wish to contact Citizens Advice or National Debtline.
